Through
LITTLE ATHLETICS, athletes are able to develop the skills of running,
jumping, and throwing in a fun and social environment. The emphasis
for young children participating in physical activity should be placed
on self improvement and learning social skills to help address important
issues such as child obesity, self image and esteem. The nature of Little
Athletics encourages and require parents to also be involved in the
sport. Help make your children's experience more rewarding by actively
involving yourself in the activities at your local centre. From simply
raking the long jump pit right through to a president of a centre every
little bit helps and your involvement will help improve the product
that our association tries to provide to all it's members.
Have fun, encourage your child to improve on their own performances
and don't be afraid to be actively involved in some capacity to help
make the whole families experience a positive one.
